How low is your interest rate?

Great news! The Bank of England has cut the interest rate again-it's now the lowest since records began....

Not so great news!....What if interest in you is low? what if it's the lowest since you began?

This got me thinking.

Here's an opportunity to have twice the amount of great news.

What if interest rate in you is the highest it's ever been? Wouldn't that help you create some security in your life? Wouldn't that make you feel that whatever is happening in the world, you are more popular, more needed, more valuable, than ever?

This is the very time that we all need this. But what are we (most of us) doing about it?

I'll give you a clue. Nothing. Zero. Naff all.

We're doing the opposite in fact. Worrying. Stressing about 'what might happen next'. Assuming it's gonna get worse.

In fact it might if we continue on this dodgy path of thinking.

Instead, why not introduce a fantastic, 'special offer' (that's what banks do don't they?) starting today.

It's the Bank of You. Only better.

A 'You package' that offers:

  1. A positive attitude every day.

  2. Solutions/suggestions -not problems.

  3. An action taker (there's too many people out there waiting for things to happen)

  4. Energy and enthusiasm that is so good it scares the pants of people.

  5. Consistency. This isn't a short term package, it's a package for life.

How many companies/colleagues/friends get this every day? How many, right now, need this?

That's right-everyone.

Being an 'interesting,of value and good to have around' person is not only in short supply, it's damn well scarce.

So get your brain in gear, get yourself known and heard- and watch your interest rate soar.

Now that really is great news.

Easy Ways To Be Successful in 2009

Ever thought it’s unfair that so many people seem to have a successful or glamorous life-and you don’t?

Well here’s some good news for you.

Firstly-many people, who look ‘visually successful’, are not.
Oh I know, they wear the latest fashions, and are seen in all the right places.
But that's not the whole truth.

Secondly, the more successful you feel on the inside, the more you will become it on the outside.

Of course, how to measure success is a real personal thing. It can come in the shape of a happy home life, being healthy, owning your own business, being financially rich or doing a good job wherever you work. You decide.

Ok, for many , riches and glamour are the ultimate ‘symbols’, but without that inner confidence that you have ‘made it’-it starts to feel shallow and meaningless after a while. Just look at how many celebrities are unhappy in their personal life.

So, do you want to know how to be and feel successful then?

Check out these top 3 tips:

1. Focus on (and think about) what you do want-not on what you don’t want!
Sound daft? Not when you consider that many people spend their life ‘grumbling’ about what they don’t have instead of pulling out all the stops to get what they want. Write it down, set goals and hold yourself responsible for achieving them.

2. Choose to stay positive.
You’ll get far more help from others that way, it will spur you on when life doesn’t go according to plan (yep, that will happen)-and being positive is an essential ingredient in the make up of truly successful people. So start acting the part!

3. Think about what you have in your life today that’s good!
Don’t take it for granted. Savour it. Be grateful.
Remember there are millions out there who don’t have what you have
Right now.

Before you say to yourself ‘is that it?’….I will warn you that if you do the above things once and expect to see your success rocket-you might be a tad disappointed. Sorry. You see to be a success, you have to do these things as a matter of habit, you know, every day-and the trick is, if you really do want to achieve something-you don’t give up.

Get it?

So, come on, hold yourself up. Tell yourself you’re gorgeous, and put on your best accessories –which are -that huge smile, and that ‘I can do anything attitude’!!!

Here’s to your success in 2009!

Christmas Cheer

So many people look forward to Christmas because it's a lovely time of the year. People are happy (generally) and it's the time to forget your troubles and have fun.

But then they don't.
Have fun that is.

What happens is that we allow what's not good around us, to influence us.

We allow other peoples' problems and stresses to become our problems.

We rush around like crazy, and forget that 'Christmastime' is quickly passing us by.

And then it does. Before we know it, we are telling people 'It's not long enough'.

Of course it is-but when we forget to live in the present, it becomes the past.

Enjoy being with friends.

Enjoy your last days at work.

Enjoy rushing around for nice gifts.

Enjoy the mince pies...and have fun!

Enjoy what you do have-don't focus on what you don't have.

Just be grateful.

Christmas Cheer is here....Look for it and you'll see it!

Merry Christmas from all of us at WalkAhead-and here's to an even better 2009.

Something very special has happened...

We have witnessed something very special happening in the USA.
Not the fact that Barack Obama is now the next President
(although this will be a talking point for years to come).

The something very special is this: the candidate with the least amount of experience ( and probably knowledge) has won on the strength of his personal ‘x’ factor-his ability to ‘connect’ with people of all colours, race, age and background having sent millions of them into a voting frenzy.

So why is he so special? What does he have that others don’t? –and why does this mark such a significant turning point for anyone who wants to influence others?........

What Barack does so well, is show us who he is as a person-not just what he can do for us as President. He uses his personal magnetism when he talks to us, he walks with a confident, yet warm ‘swagger’. When he speaks, it’s as if he is speaking from the heart-even though he has a well written speech in front of him. His eyes don’t flit across the crowd; he fixes his gaze on individuals in the crowd. He paces his speech well-pausing regularly, whilst his audience hangs onto his every word.
When he smiles, he looks like he means it.

What he does that many leaders in the world today-and indeed in business, don’t -is show emotion. This ‘humanises’ him to the millions watching, because now they can relate to him. He gives the impression that he is a humble, family man-yet still the kind of guy who would appeal to people all over the world and who could be trusted to run the country. It’s not what he says that’s important, it’s how he makes us feel.

Do other leaders have the ingredients that Barack has? Perhaps.
The difference is-they don’t show us-partly because it’s somehow seemed unprofessional to be so appealing, and partly because they don’t have the confidence to show us their true colours. And sometimes, leaders just don’t have ‘it’.

The significance of Barack Obama reaching President is that it doesn’t just make it right for us to use our personality to win people over; it makes it a necessary ingredient to win.

Do you have the X Factor?

Are you Xciting?

Do you have something about you that's Xtra special?

....in fact, how much of that 'X' have you got!?

The truth is, everyone needs it-especially now when things are tough. If you don't possess that certain 'something'-you don't have a cat in hell's chance of standing out.

Think about it-there are thousands of people in the UK alone, trying to hang on to their current jobs-or trying to find one.

Having the right skill and knowledge is good. (Even if you have a fantastic singing voice it's something to be proud of). But it's not enough.

You still have to attract attention don't you?

You still have to win people over don't you?

Now, you really do need to have the X Factor.

That's why our coaches at Walkahead stand out. Because they do have it, and what's more-they know how to get it.

So if you want to know the secret-contact the Xperts.

We'll show you how.

How to get 'lucky'..

Some people are just lucky, right?

Wrong!

People who are just lucky tend to create their own luck. And anyone can do it, it's just that most people don't-they wait for things to happen to them (it's ok, I admit I've done this plenty of times).

I'm not talking about any magic potion here by the way, or doing any 'hocus pocus'-or in fact doing anything illegal, sorry!

But here's the thing, you can be lucky by having a great attitude, by being fun to be around, by helping people out, by doing things that other people can't be bothered to do, by being happy and showing it, by working hard, by being likeable.

(Isn't today of all days a time to remember just how lucky you are to be alive? If you need a reminder, remember 9/11/2001.) Count your blessings-you already have more than most.

All sound a bit cheesy?-Ok well why don't you give it a go then? You see the truth is some people may do/be these things now and then-but to create your own luck, you need to create a real buzz about yourself. If people want to be around you, they will do things for you.

Then you start to open your own doors , and luck starts happening.

Trust me, it works.

There are times when I have been 'moping' around and had all the bad 'luck' I could handle.

But when I turn on the motor and act like I'm the luckiest person in the world-I change physically and mentally. Then good luck starts to show up-and you just have to notice it. The more consistent you are with your behaviour and attitude, the more chance you have of making yourself one of those 'lucky' people in life.

So go on-act it, expect it, and you'll start to get it.
