I love it when I see people grab opportunities by the balls, and go for it!

Take Susan Boyle, the lady from Scotland who is taking the world by storm with her lovely voice.

Most people would have given up trying.

She has led an almost reclusive life.

She has been bullied.

She has never been kissed by a man (her words).

She has sung publicly and had auditions many times before and got nowhere.

She is in her late forties.

She is not traditionally 'good looking' or 'commercial'.

She is who she is and she never gave up.

What's your excuse for giving up on your dream?

Everyone's got talent-sadly most don't realise how strong theirs is.

That's why I coach people to find their own unique 'X Factor'cocktail.

Never give up.

On Air with BBC Radio Humberside -18th March

This morning I spent an hour chatting to David Reeves (the Lara King Show) about the kind of people I coach-and also reviewing some topics related to my work from the mornings papers.

Here's a flavour.......

Remember what you do have, instead of focusing what you don't have. Jade Goody and Natasha Richardson's accident spring to mind. Who knows when its our time to go? We all have problems of some kind-but there is always someone worse off.

Celebrities and high flyers need a coach more than anyone!

They not only have pressure to deal with, their lifetyles are played out in public for all to see.

Kate Moss, Kerry Katona, Gazza-all in the news again. If they had a coach, they would have less chance of spiralling downwards and potentially hitting drugs.

The Apprentice starts again next week-yippee!

There will be the usual mix of people from all backgrounds and places across the UK. But as in the 'real world' people buy you first. Sir Alan is no fool. He can teach a newbie anything-he wants people with the right attitude and the 'likeability factor'.

Catch me on Radio Humberside next week, giving my first views on Sir Alan's candidates for this years job-signs are, it'll be a good 'un!

Go on-have a laugh!
Reasons to be cheerful-part one!

-Smiling uses fewer facial muscles than frowning(less wrinkles!)
-Laughter changes your mood-to a good one
-Good old belly laughing is a known (free) cure for illness
-You are always more attractive when you smile
-People warm to you when you are fun and enthusiastic-so be a magnet
-It's good to give-time, money, ears (to listen), pressies, chat, jokes,a drink, help
-You are alive- one day you won't be
-Whatever your problems are-someone out there has bigger ones
-Count yourself lucky, because you are.
-Someone out there loves you...even if you don't know it
-Why be unhappy anyway?-it's a waste of energy.
-Chillax...we worry about the most stupid things
