ThanksGiving

Ok, so I'm not an American...but my sister lives over there, so I am a bit, aren't I?!

Anyway, Thanks Giving is a lovely time of the year. Being grateful for everything you have including the simple things that we take for granted. And actually, the more grateful you are, the more likely you are to be appreciative. And when that happens-you become a different person, warm, generous, friendly...and more successful.

So, wherever you are in the world, why don't you have your own 'Thanksgiving'.

If you have a home, food, clothes, family or friends, and enough money to live-you are incredibly lucky.

Appreciate it. If any of it ever goes, you'll suddenly realise how much you need them (and perhaps took for granted). Notice and Enjoy everything you have now.

There's no time like the present. Be grateful you have it.

Talent is not enough

The most talented people are not necessarily the most successful people out there.

Why is that?

Here's one reason: Talent is not enough.

In fact, talent is not even necessary anymore!

To be successful, to be a winner, to gain support-you have to stand out.

Take 'The X Factor'.

On Sunday evening we saw the lovely, very talented Rachel-booted off with not enough votes to keep her there.

On the other hand-John and Edward are still there-and they can't sing half as well.

However they are entertaining. They do make us laugh, they make us talk about them, they attract attention.
Rachel has just not grabbed us (enough) emotionally. There isn't a strong enough reason to vote. Even though she has plenty of talent.

That's the world we live in. And always have. Only now-reality shows expose us to who stands out and who doesn't.

Same in sport. Same in business. Same in everyday life.

People buy people...when there's something about them that we like.

What's your 'something'?

Better find it if you want to be successful eh?
